The Prairie Chamber Choir Incorporated is Regina’s newest chamber choir.  The eighteen members of the choir are professional musicians in their own right.  Each singer believes that an experience with choral music can inspire individuals, preserve the history of communities, and unify nations.

Conducted by Melissa Morgan, the choir was formed in the spring of 2015 as The Prairie Lecture Choir for her Prairie Choral Project.  During the lecture recital, the choir performed an entire concert of original choral compositions by composers from the region. The concert was an empowering experience to audience members and choristers alike. It affirmed that Prairie communities have many beautiful choral compositions and a strong tradition of singing.  After the recital, the choir did not want to disband and they continue to discover, promote and perform the choral works of composers from the Prairie Provinces.

The Prairie Chamber Choir will represent Saskatchewan as a guest performer at the National Podium Choral Conference May 2016 in Edmonton, Alberta.
